Why Mabati.ke Exists
Buying mabati in Kenya is stressful for one reason: every website that shows you a price is trying to sell you its own sheets. So no price can be trusted, and no “which is best” answer is honest. Mabati.ke is different. We do not manufacture mabati. We do not sell it. We do not hold stock or deliver. We are an independent guide, and our only job is to publish the real price and connect you to the right factory.
How we compile prices
We compile and cross-check prices from published factory price lists and online shop prices, then update the tables and stamp the date. The last update was July 2026. Prices are shown as ranges because steel prices move and figures vary by brand, gauge and length, so the honest thing to do is give you the real band and tell you to confirm today’s figure with the factory before you pay. We do not claim to phone factories or to guarantee a single fixed price; we tell you what the market is charging and connect you to it.
How the factory ranking works
Our factory ranking is built from public Google Maps review data, not from opinion and not from payment. No factory can pay to move up or down it. That is the one asset no factory can copy, and we protect it with a hard rule: no paid placement ever appears on the ranking or on any star rating. Read the full methodology.
How we make money
Factories pay us for the buyers we send them, and only for buyers who are ready to order. You, the buyer, never pay us a shilling, and you never pay a markup: our published price is the price. Because factories pay us, we keep one hard rule that protects you: no factory can pay to rank higher in our reviews, or to be called “best.” The ranking is real review data, and it is not for sale. That is the whole point of us. See exactly how we make money.
Our promise
Never overpay, never get faked. Whether you are buying the cheapest corrugated sheet or a KSh 300,000 stone-coated roof, our job is the same: show you the real price, warn you about the fakes, and connect you to a genuine factory.
